Malay warriors with keris.

In ancient times it was used as a weapon. A warrior who is well known in martial arts called silat carried Keris as a weapon. Nowadays we still see people carry Keris in their waist belt. You may think these people are strong and skillful warriors. Well, the credit goes to the outfit. Realistically, only men who are dressing for their wedding day. Just to impress the bride.
During colonial times, Malay warriors fought the Portuguese. The Portuguese were using guns and cannons. while the Malay warriors were using Keris. Unfortunately the Portuguese succeeded in taking over the Malay land.Keris versus guns. Guess who has the advantages.
